PILOTING THE PERFECT MOVE

I am not a fan of more government so I was a little mixed when Sandy Springs became a city. I totally understand the tax issues and Fulton County. On that basis, I voted for the city even though I had mixed emotions about having to eventually pay more taxes. I really think that we will be having more taxes very soon. I see no other way. Politicians are p0liticians (that is another subject).

One thing that Sandy Springs has done well other than not taking care of a drainage problem in my yard after many attempts at talking with the city is to develop new parks and greenspace. An exciting new plan they have in the works is the Abernathy Linear Park which will be between Roswell Road and Johnson Ferry Road on Abernathy Road. This park will have walking trails, ponds, a community center, and park benches. It looks like it will be a great government project which should help real estate values in the area.
